This weekend there was the first Pokemon State Championship in New Hampshire! Matt and I went along with our friend Andrew. I had fun! I didn't see what place I came in, I just knew I didn't make the top cut. I went 4-0, and then I lost my last 2 matches in swiss, and my record wasn't good enough for the top 8. Matt didn't get in either, but our friend Andrew did! Oh well. There is always this Saturday. ;)



I am still playing Porygon-Z, but I put in a new card, Dialga Lv. X! His Poke-Body is really useful, and it helped me out a lot! I really think it made my deck that much better. :) In the end, your match-ups (who you get paired up to play) are very important in how well you do. My deck doesn't have very good match-ups because of the current metagame, which describes the most popular "winning" decks that the majority of players play, and the majority of winners win with. My deck is ~rogue~ in a sense that I am the only person playing it, and I have been the only person playing it for a long time. It is very powerful, fast, and I'm great at playing it! The metagame just isn't in my favor right now, so I have a lot of tough match-ups and thus, I don't always do as well as I possibly could with this deck.

All that matters to me is that I'm playing a deck that I have fun with. I could easily be playing a metagame deck right now, and possibly winning more, but it is more fun for me to play Porygon-Z. It has always been about fun for me! And if I win too, then well, that's awesome!

These are some new shorts I made! I got my daisy-chain ribbon back, as you can see. :) I love these so much! I have a lot of this fabric left, so I reallly want to try and make a romper. I don't have a pattern for a top, and I'd like to find one for a nice sweetheart halter top or regular tank top and just combine it with my shorts pattern, since it is perfect. I am a little nervous about free-handing it, although I probably could.

I never posted these, but I got them a while ago! They are from nicolelindner on Etsy. They are a little big, but I haven't tried to wash them yet because I haven't worn them out! I don't think they look very good with black tights, so I'll probably wait until it is warmer to warm them.

I have been playing tons of Pokemon Heart Gold, obviously! I have literally been playing almost nonstop, it's bad. Good thing I am very caught up on my homework! I just beat the last gym leader in Johto and I have to go into the Dragon's Den to prove my worth to Clair before she gives me the freaking badge! I think this may be my favorite Pokemon game. I can't wait to go face all of the Kanto gym leaders too! Misty! Erika!

Here is my team so far. I love all of my Pokemon to pieces! I love my Jumpluff, because I have a great strategy with it. It is very fast, so it starts my every battle, and I do Leech Seed, maybe PoisonPowder, and then U-Turn, which sends him back to me and I can put out one of my heavy hitters! I am going to train a Growlithe/Arcanine before I reach the Elite Four, I think.

It's funny but I kindof don't even wanted to get my tattoo colored? I love it the way it is! Haha well I probably will though. I am still debating on how I want it colored, specifically the sky. I could either do the pink/yellow/orange sunset with clouds, like at the end of the movie, or I could just do a light blue sky with clouds? I think I am leaning towards blue, even though a sunset scene would be more dynamic I suppose. I am so pale that I don't want the color of the tattoo to be too overpowering and loud. I think a light blue sky and that kind of simple, sweet coloring would fit ME more, but I don't know! I guess I am just having a hard time imagining what a sunset would look like, and I'm not a big fan of orange? What do you guys think?
